Online Sub-MISSIONS

Online Sub-MISSIONS After it was decided to cancel the exams of most Under-Graduate programs, it became mandatory to submit all the experiment journals and assignments for all the subjects. It was because the scores were to be counted based on your midterms/end terms and the last Semester's score. Before the decision was made, the students were either enjoying their time at home or studying for the exams. In the first 13-14 days, everyone was relaxed and happy with the decision made by the university. As the professors asked for the work before the deadline, most of the students (including me) were shocked. Students wished that somehow the submission were should be canceled too. But life isn't all good and no hardships, is it? 😑 6 subjects with some of them including projects! We initially had to submit projects for 4 of them and write a report for it. Even if you use the internet to get some project and modify it, you'll take the time to make the complete rep...

Getting the assignments signed!

Getting the assignments signed! I have already explained in the previous blog, how important it is to get your assignments checked and signed on time by the respective subject faculty! I think the students from most professional courses might understand what I’m saying. If we had to break this 3-month course of engineering down, the time spent by the students to complete the assignments is 2 months. This may sound easy but it’s not! It includes completing it on time and getting it checked before the deadline… With all the hard-work, head-scratching, sleepless nights and copying assignments, students finally get their files ready for getting them signed. Just like a mom takes her child for immunization whenever it is supposed to, a student is expected to take his/her file to the subject faculty to get it checked. It includes getting it signed, updating the marks in the faculty’s register… I’m extremely sorry to bore you in the second paragraph itself, but I can...

Assignments: Good or Bad?

Assignments: Good or Bad? Engineering without assignments is like bread without yeast. The reason behind the fluffy nature of any bread is the yeast added in it. In a similar fashion, the reason behind the tough, competitive and busy nature of the engineering is the assignments that are assigned throughout the term. I’m not saying that students from other courses don’t have any heavy assignment work; it’s just that the workload of any student who has to attend college for more is immense. So how are assignments assigned? How do the students manage to complete the assignments on time? Let’s find out… To be honest, it’s not just the students who get busy because of the assignments. It’s the faculty who sets the assignments, it’s the faculty who checks the assignment before the allotted time by the university, and it’s the faculty who submits the marks of the students before time. So it’s not just the faculty’s fault. It’s just the nature of the en...
