Getting the assignments signed!
I have already explained in the previous blog, how important it is to get your assignments checked and signed on time by the respective subject faculty!
I think the students from most professional courses might understand what I’m saying.
If we had to break this 3-month course of engineering down, the time spent by the students to complete the assignments is 2 months.
This may sound easy but it’s not!
It includes completing it on time and getting it checked before the deadline…
With all the hard-work, head-scratching, sleepless nights and copying assignments, students finally get their files ready for getting them signed.
Just like a mom takes her child for immunization whenever it is supposed to, a student is expected to take his/her file to the subject faculty to get it checked.
It includes getting it signed, updating the marks in the faculty’s register…
I’m extremely sorry to bore you in the second paragraph itself, but I can’t help it!
This process is boring to read and going through the process is even more boring and a tedious task…
But trust me… the process of getting it signed for the final time is funny and full of confusion.
Finally, a day is decided at the end of the term by the college when all faculties gather in a room.
All the students bring their completed files and get it signed one-by-one for the final time.
The main focus of this day is to certify all the files.
Some of the files are supposed to be submitted on the same day itself!
So you know this isn’t a day where you have a choice to stay at home.
The day arrives, my friends called me early in the morning so we can enter the college together.
(Or maybe, they don’t want me to submit my journals before them.)
Do y’all remember my crew of misfits?
The circle’s still strong!
Anyway,
No matter what time I reach college, my files will be certified at a pre-decided time.
No point in going too early.
All students gathered in their respective classes. Talking, chatting, they were spending their time.
The students who had completed their file-work were relaxed and waiting for the faculties to start the final signing.
These “Relaxed” students included Mr. Tenacious, Dr. Workaholic and the students with the same qualities.
But wait!
Mr. Tenacious started acting tenaciously as usual.
He started rearranging the assignments in the file.
That wasn’t needed to be done actually. I guess some people just love being busy.
There were students who had some work to be completed in order to present the complete files. They were busy completing their work in the eleventh hour. That included me as well…
But I think it is a proper use of time and pressure.
(Sorry for defending my shortcomings in a convenient way)
One thing life has surely taught us that ‘THINGS ARE DONE BETTER UNDER PRESSURE.’
This is true for your assignments and your bowel movements as well.
Life lacks spice without pressure.
(WARNING: Too much of spice is bad for health. And so is pressure.)There were kids who hadn’t brought any completed files or assignments. Of course, they were few in number, but they were super-chilled and doing their work. This type of calmness is only achieved by meditating in the
This is your term-work. So you are basically being judged by the professor on the basis of your performance in the tests, attendance in the lectures and your date of submissions.
So don’t be surprised if you score less in the term-works, the most probable reason might be your absence in the college or the late submission. You did it to yourself! This work of final signing was completed in roughly two hours. All the files then need to go through the process where the college seal is stamped on the certificate. Now your journal/file is officially certified!
What did I understand through the process?
I observed different tendencies of different people. The students, the professor and all the people associated with this process.
To talk about the students…
These people were people of different frequencies. Some are studious, some are not so studious, and some are not at all studious.
The first benchers, the middle of the packs, and the backbenchers, everyone has a special place.
These people of different frequencies when sitting together, form a harmony.
That harmony is called a class.
We can’t really differentiate the vibe in the lectures, practical or lunch breaks.
These individual frequencies can be experiences during a day like this.
When everyone is under different amounts of pressure to exhibit their natural frequency…
The real reason why friends ask you to wait for them during the checking BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT YOU TO GET YOUR FILES CORRECTED BEFORE THEM, and I can confirm this cause this is what I also do :P
ReplyDeleteBro I love your way of telling these stories and I would like to hear more of these shenanigans of you and your friends. It really gets me invested in your blogs. Keep up the great work.
OH! That's the reason you keep calling each and every friend before the submission time ;)
DeleteJokes apart, Thanks a lot for all the support and the pains taken to write this comment!
I'm overwhelmed...
Wonderful writing brother. You are expressing the feelings of all the engineering students.Your blogs are awesome.Keep it up bro.💥🔥
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Brother Jitu!
DeleteYour support always motivates me to write even more, it's just the beginning
I'm glad that you can relate to the incidents mentioned in the post...
These people of different frequencies when sitting together, form a harmony.
ReplyDeleteThat harmony is called a class.
My favorite line
Keep it up bro, and plz increase frequency of your post. I really love your writing.
Thanks a lot Ayush for the precious reply!
DeleteThis means a world to me...
I really appreciate your attention to detail : )
Well, I'm trying to post as many blogs as possible.
Surely, I'll try to increase the frequency of the posts...
