Midterm fuss!

Midterm fuss!

Midterms!... One of the most underrated still one of the most important occasions in engineering course.
And if you are in the first year, beware!
You are probably gonna flunk in a subject if you think it's not that important.
You may enjoy the term but the speed bump called " midterm" is gonna get you!

Six subjects, 3 days and midterms get over...
Short span is what makes midterm the most underrated and the most dangerous speed bump in the course.
If you chilled out all the term and never really gave importance to the internal exams, you might possibly get shocked after you get your test results!
Honestly, you have no idea how the boy sitting on the last bench unexpectedly is the topper of the class!
The boy who appears to be studious flunks in almost all subjects!
And middle benchers like me pass with satisfactory scores or flunk a subject or two...

The game has evolved over years...
The days where you could make out how much one can score by his attention in the class are gone!
I've realised that, engineering is a place where people who work their asses off at night have a great chance of topping the class than others.
But if you won't score really good even after putting a lot of efforts, don't get disheartened.
Always remember... Hardwork beats talent, period.

Midterms are held after a month of teaching of every term.
Endterms are held after the syllabus is taught.
If you fall short of few marks in the mid, you get a chance to cover it all in the end.

The importance of the midterms is that it's an awakening for some people who are too lost in their own world of distractions. ( This is me!!!)
For some, it does the work of confidence booster ( These guys always score well...Dr. Workoholic)
For some, it does not have its effects ... (These people have thick skin when it comes to scoring low... But yes they excel in some other fields as they do not live their life based on other people's opinions)

Now wait! ... You'll say, what will Endterms do then?
Nah...I won't say anything good about Endterms!
It is the prediction of kind of marks you'll get in the University exams.
If you perform extremely poor in the Endterms, you're doomed!
You can't expect to reach the finals and lift the cup of you can't get through the playoffs!
It's Do or Die...

Conclusion:- Midterms, the speed bump in way, can be boon for students like me who spend their first month of the terms messing around!
I have a lot of assignments to complete, I have Mr. Tenecious's copies with me;
Tomorrow is the submission day and I have miles to go before I(go to) sleep!

Fake influencers: The agents of manufactured reality

It’s great to be up-to-date with what’s going on in their life, isn’t it? Maybe you’re a big fan of his/her work or post feed. Their presence on social media ensures that they stay relevant to the culture and give their followers a chance to get a peek into their lives. A good amount of following can be used to create awareness, raise money for a cause and create a strong community. On the flip-side, it can also be used to push products/courses that benefit only the ones who sell them, and imbibe ideologies that are biased and serve no good to society. Many of such influencers sell us manufactured reality time and time again. It can severely affect our well-being as being the consumers of the same. There’s a lot of political tension in the world. People divide themselves based on countries, beliefs, races, genders, and ideologies. Most of them are ...

Can FAUG replace PUBG in India?

Can FAUG replace PUBG in India? 26 January it is! Finally, after months of delay and advertising, the game ‘FAUG’ will be launched. The announcement of this game was done right after PUBG was banned. PUBG was the most popular game in India at that given time. It was beautifully crafted by its developers and was capable of giving a seamless experience even to the users with mid-budget phones. It had servers all over the globe to ensure a proper user experience. With that being said, it’s a challenge for the developers of FAUG to deliver a game based on the benchmark set by PUBG. Can they nail it? Is FAUG really worth the hype? Mobile Gaming in India: It’s appreciable that a Company from a country where the mobile gaming industry is booming is developing an actual multiplayer game. To be honest, it’s not an easy task. Along with the graphics and the physics of the game, networking should also be taken care of. And looking at what PUBG had delivered us, it is a big challen...

A Sports festival with joy and sorrow

A Sports festival with joy and sorrow Just like every year, our college organized the annual sports festival! Everyone was happy and busy preparing for the festival. Students were selecting the teams for the different sports. Football, Cricket, Basketball, Relay races, and various indoor games were to be played in the college playground. The ground was leveled, the turf was cleaned and everything was set. 3 days at the sports festival gave us a chance to refresh our minds and a reason to bunk the lectures. Every college organizes such a festival. And if you look for yourself, all the names given to these sports festivals are weird sounding like the era of WW2. I’m pretty much impressed that such names manage to attract sponsors. Anyway, this event is pretty much fun. Some colleges allow participation from other colleges. This increases the competition, the crowd and the sponsors (Wink Wink). In our college, classes from all the branches and years form te...
