Let's visit an Industry!

Let's visit an Industry!

In our school days, there was probably only one day when all the students screamed with joy when the announcement was made.
The announcement would be regarding the annual trip!๐Ÿ™†
I still get nostalgic when someone talks of school trips...๐Ÿ˜ƒ
Let's agree we all do.
From amusement parks to the sanctuaries, we've done it all.
And the main reason for the excitement was that we got an opportunity to spend a day out with our friends!
Something which we rooted the whole year.
We've grown up and the fun trips are now changed into educational industrial visits.
But obvious the fun is reduced, the locations are not as interesting as they used to be.
But we're engineers!
( Students... Sorry )
We can accomplish anything...๐Ÿ˜Ž

Alright, listen! I have many friends who are engineering students and they've shared their experiences of the industrial visit with me...
And one thing I've noticed is that nothing can stop us from having fun.
I'm happy that the trips haven't changed much.
For the freshman year, my college organized a visit to a well-known research institute.
Unfortunately, the trip was a one day trip whereas all my friends from other colleges had a staying trip.
The only extra accessory I packed was a power bank.
The students from other colleges had beverages (not sure about this), pack of cards and a torch in their bag!
I know this might offend some of you, but it is what it is...
I thought these things happen only in the movies.
Hence proved, engineers never compromise their fun.

The term “industrial visit” is not as boring as it sounds!
In fact, the college wants us to enjoy for a moment after months of lectures.
I think they call it "industrial visit" to sound more professional and so that all the parents allow their children.
Imagine if I told my Dad that I'm going to a place where gallons of water is treated using disinfectant, won't he allow me?
I'm damn sure he will!
But what if I told him we're going to a water park to splash chlorine water?
I think I might need to convince him.

As the institute is located near the city, we had to get there by ourselves.
Mr. Tenacious and Dr. Workoholic accompanied me on the train to the site.
The journey was fun. The train was crowded.
There were many people who were traveling to their jobs.
Reminded me that life really is a hustle...
The long train journey was spent by me listening to the songs on my phone.

We were delighted to finally meet all the people there at the institute!
You could easily tell that they all were excited.
After all, it was the first trip of the professional course...
There was a lecture organized by the institute which was interesting but quite long.
I was feeling sleepy but something about the atmosphere kept me awake.

After the lecture, we gathered at the canteen.
I still don't believe how we all were comfortable in a place we never visited!
The tables were joined and all the class was discussing different ways to spend the rest of the day.
Suggestions we coming in from all the directions.
We had made that canteen our home.

Quizzes were organized, curators were explaining case studies, we were roaming outside the institute to watch its infrastructure.
Something I'd like to tell you guys, I'd never been to such an amazing trip before!
There was no enjoyment as such but the day was really relaxing.
I guess a day out with friends is a real stress-buster even for an introvert like me!

We left the institute just because we wanted to get home early.
The memories of the trip are like a screenshot in my mind...
Yet, the announcement isn't made about the trip for the second year.
( Yes, I got through my freshman year)
I'd really appreciate if the college organizes a staying trip to a botanical facility were strawberries are produced and processed.
It would really be a convincing way to tell my Dad about a trip to a hill station, don't you think so?

Fake influencers: The agents of manufactured reality

Fake influencers: The agents of manufactured reality How many public figures do you follow on various social media platforms? It’s great to be up-to-date with what’s going on in their life, isn’t it? Maybe you’re a big fan of his/her work or post feed. Their presence on social media ensures that they stay relevant to the culture and give their followers a chance to get a peek into their lives. A good amount of following can be used to create awareness, raise money for a cause and create a strong community. On the flip-side, it can also be used to push products/courses that benefit only the ones who sell them, and imbibe ideologies that are biased and serve no good to society. Many of such influencers sell us manufactured reality time and time again. It can severely affect our well-being as being the consumers of the same. There’s a lot of political tension in the world. People divide themselves based on countries, beliefs, races, genders, and ideologies. Most of them are ...

Finding friends for the journey

Finding friends for the journ ey ... D one with the first week, I was quite bored to have no one to talk to ... Even if I loved to do things alone, I had to find myself friends on whom I can rely for these 4 years and establish a bond of brotherhood and respect... Enough of this shit, I wanted some people around who could help in my projects, compete my assignments and mark me present even if I've bunked the lectures. Here is how I made my team and how each one of them represent a stereotypical student of an engineering college. I prefer talking to the people who appreciate my poor jokes at any cost. A small program in the college was a  great opportunity to socialize... I knew I had to do that even if I don't like it. I sat in the crowd where I started cracking jokes on the guest of honor... I ain't rude to do that... It's just my way of testing people I don't want someone to be my friend who can't take my jokes ... I found my first...

Fresher's fever

Freshe r's fever Now that we've done with our busy schedule, it's time to take a break and enjoy a bit... Yes... I'm talking about the fresher's party!!! But can all students really enjoy the party? Let's take the case... The biggest irony of life is... Happiness comes for a price What do I mean by this opening statement? Well, after 1 month of tedious lectures, practicals and work we hear about the fresher's party!!!.... Wait... What? It's after our midterm exams! No way This is what happens in most of the colleges. I guess you know how it goes after this. The ones who have prepared real hard for the exams score good... And the ones who have not, score terrible. So it's clear that the ones who score enjoy, The ones who don't,...cry... Not because they scored low but because of their unwillingness of enjoying the party! The midterm score was like a bomb on the class. And with every score declared, it was turning wors...
