How professional course changed me as a student?

How  professional course changed me?

I think every professional course has its own pros and cons, this blog is about the pros...
This blog explains how I evolved as a student and I'm sure that we all have to some extent.
People focus on the hectic schedule, delayed results and lack of time for oneself when it comes to professional courses (especially engineering).
Absolutely correct, no doubt!
We should consider the positive side as well...
I think the harsh schedule kinda changes us in a better way.
Let's find out how!

I'm not saying this for myself... Believe me I'll give you relevant examples.
For me the first year was much greater than my school years.
Honestly, from 6 to 18,I hated life!
Not because of the teachers, students or things of that nature but because of some other things which bugged me back then.
I felt there was more agony and distress in the minds of students for many reasons.
For me, I really struggled with academics.
I felt bad for not scoring as good as my friends.
I felt the need of being the coolest kid in the school.
I needed more attention.
Being an introvert ain't easy.
Here in my sophomore year, I didn't feel the need of being cool at all.
Everyone here is cool in his/her own way!
People are okay with the fact that they haven't topped the class.
So am I!

Guy d'average, he's still the same average guy.
Nowadays, he's happy with being average.
He is grateful that he's not a guy with all looks and no brains who keeps on talking to appear intelligent.
He experienced this change a few weeks after the term started.
I'm proud of you Guy d'average!

The same Mr.Tenecious happily completes his assignments before others.
His fear of completing assignments before deadline has changed into the joy of completing assignments right after they are assigned.
He cares less about marks and enjoys the process.
He now knows that I swear once in 10 sentences!
I was shocked to see him in an unpressed t-shirt the other day!
I knew the world was about to end...

Dr. Workoholic... He changed too
He stopped messaging me on my Dad's phone.
Hence, my Dad stopped asking me about his marks.(I think he forgot him)
He doesn't make me feel bad about bunking lectures and borrowing assignments from him (& Mr.Tenecious as well) for me to copy.
He gets late to the class, hits me for teasing him and sometimes uses phone in the lectures.
He has no problem if his good boy image gets tampered a little.

There are a lot of friends who are enjoying studies much more than they used to!
Actually, we got a lot of time for ourselves.
Most of us started using that time on our hobbies.
A friend of mine started taking guitar lessons!
He couldn't even imagine doing that in the eleventh or twelfth grade.
No one can...
We are all busy preparing for various entrance exams like CET,JEE, JET,CEE, P... and infinity.
No way we get any time!
We're all afraid of YYY scoring better than us...
Things have changed and I'm happy about that to a certain extent.

Yes, there are some things(many) which make engineering look like a gross web series...lol
But the same hectic process makes us who we are again.
Frankly speaking, we didn't change.
We just expressed our true self in our own way.
I think this maybe same for all professional courses.

I think I forgot someone...
Romeo... I'm sorry
But I guess, some dogs never learn.
They just are the way they are!
What do you think about your professional course?
Are you happy the way it changed you?
Let me know in the comment section...

Fake influencers: The agents of manufactured reality

Fake influencers: The agents of manufactured reality How many public figures do you follow on various social media platforms? It’s great to be up-to-date with what’s going on in their life, isn’t it? Maybe you’re a big fan of his/her work or post feed. Their presence on social media ensures that they stay relevant to the culture and give their followers a chance to get a peek into their lives. A good amount of following can be used to create awareness, raise money for a cause and create a strong community. On the flip-side, it can also be used to push products/courses that benefit only the ones who sell them, and imbibe ideologies that are biased and serve no good to society. Many of such influencers sell us manufactured reality time and time again. It can severely affect our well-being as being the consumers of the same. There’s a lot of political tension in the world. People divide themselves based on countries, beliefs, races, genders, and ideologies. Most of them are ...

Finding friends for the journey

Finding friends for the journ ey ... D one with the first week, I was quite bored to have no one to talk to ... Even if I loved to do things alone, I had to find myself friends on whom I can rely for these 4 years and establish a bond of brotherhood and respect... Enough of this shit, I wanted some people around who could help in my projects, compete my assignments and mark me present even if I've bunked the lectures. Here is how I made my team and how each one of them represent a stereotypical student of an engineering college. I prefer talking to the people who appreciate my poor jokes at any cost. A small program in the college was a  great opportunity to socialize... I knew I had to do that even if I don't like it. I sat in the crowd where I started cracking jokes on the guest of honor... I ain't rude to do that... It's just my way of testing people I don't want someone to be my friend who can't take my jokes ... I found my first...

Fresher's fever

Freshe r's fever Now that we've done with our busy schedule, it's time to take a break and enjoy a bit... Yes... I'm talking about the fresher's party!!! But can all students really enjoy the party? Let's take the case... The biggest irony of life is... Happiness comes for a price What do I mean by this opening statement? Well, after 1 month of tedious lectures, practicals and work we hear about the fresher's party!!!.... Wait... What? It's after our midterm exams! No way This is what happens in most of the colleges. I guess you know how it goes after this. The ones who have prepared real hard for the exams score good... And the ones who have not, score terrible. So it's clear that the ones who score enjoy, The ones who don't,...cry... Not because they scored low but because of their unwillingness of enjoying the party! The midterm score was like a bomb on the class. And with every score declared, it was turning wors...
